Introduction

Combining his background in science and engineering with his expertise in traditional Chinese medicine, Professor Chen Shikai integrates engineering thinking, systems analysis, and TCM theory. He has long been dedicated to TCM education, clinical practice, and acupuncture research, and is committed to promoting the integrated application of TCM theory and modern medical technology.

Dr. Chen is the founder of Three-Axis Dynamics. He previously served as a lecturer at the Vancouver College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and currently serves as the director of the Chen School of Traditional Chinese Medicine and a faculty advisor at the World Academy of Acupuncture and Meridian Medicine. He has also been appointed as a lecturer and consultant for numerous medical and educational institutions both in China and abroad, and continues to promote the education, clinical application, and international academic exchange of traditional Chinese medicine.

In recent years, he has dedicated himself to establishing the theoretical framework of “Three-Axis Medicine.” Building upon *Three-Axis Dynamics*, he has gradually developed a series of monographs covering diagnosis, acupuncture, herbal formulas, diseases, acupuncture-knife postural therapy, clinical case studies, and health preservation, thereby constructing a comprehensive knowledge framework for Three-Axis Medicine to serve as a vital foundation for clinical practice, teaching, and research.
